SEQUENCES (Lament for the Lost)

Filmed in one continuous take and with a constant aperture, moonlight on the sea surface is intermittently revealed and obscured by clouds. Those unpredictable changes are contrasted with the recurring and controlled predictability of the sequence of lights which have been placed along a harbour wall as a safety warning for boats and ships.

This silent film presents a reflexive and phenomenological viewing experience and is intended to be a visual and silent lament for those lost at sea.
