The Black Sea occupies a special place both of trauma and of pleasure in Medoidze’s video Questions and Answers. Combining the shots of Black sea and London streets with the found mobile footage and punctuated only by drumrolls and artist’s voiceover, the film creates a disorientating experience of ‘wakeful dreaming’.
