My Blood Self is a new body of work based on the idea of an editorial fashion shoot that references imagery of genocide and substandard poverty, juxtaposed with historical images from the Egyptian and Mesoamerica civilizations.These silent pieces which are played simultaneous in Red, White, Chocolate order recall the 1970’s conceptual works of Joseph Kosuth, who played with deconstructing language and meaning. They also use revisit use of fake sponsorship to highlight the global branding of issues of racial harmony, by companies like Levis and Wrangler in their advertising campaigns.
