My Blood Self is a new body of work based on the idea of an editorial fashion shoot that references imagery of genocide and substandard poverty, juxtaposed with historical images from the Egyptian and Mesoamerica civilizations.
This piece examines the infamous Acteal massacre of Mayan Indians in Chiapas during beginning of the war between Zapatista guerrillas and the Mexican Army. The song in French highlights the ongoing conflict in Algeria, thus showing that war continues to be a global problem and not a national one.
