Untitled (Eyemo rolls) is an ongoing body of over 200 individual 35mm camera rolls shot with Bell & Howell Eyemo 35mm film camera in various countries where I have lived and worked since 2011. The short rolls – each about 1 minute long – are designed to be shown in dialogue with work by other artists, newly configured for each site specific projection. The project is a means to think about entanglement and of the cinema as a locality between places. Past performances of the project have taken place at 25FPS Festival, Zagreb, Croatia (Sept 2016), Visions, Montreal, Canada (April 2017), BIMI / LUX, London, UK (June 2017), Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art / MMCA, Seoul, South Korea (Sept–Oct 2017), Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina (Nov 2017), National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art, Taichung, Taiwan (Oct 2018) and Irish Film Institute, Dublin (Oct 2019). Over various iterations the project has been shown with works by Mok Chui-Yu, Laida Lexthundi, Shannon Te Ao, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Chick Strand, Ismal Muntaha, Tanachai Bandasak, Joanna Margaret Paul, Louise Menzies, Tito & Tita, Peter Hutton, CADA/Colectivo Acciones de Arte, Raul Ruiz, Barbara McCullough and Chen Chieh-jen among others. The project has variable duration but mostly presented as a 70 minute programme combining Eyemo Rolls and works by other artists. The project has been shot in the following countries: Aotearoa New Zealand, Argentina, Canada, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA.
