‘In Time Length 1, a single line is scratched down the image and sound track, and the result is an alternation between the visual and the sound in one second intervals. Time Length 2 alternates the visual and the sound in the same way as no. 1, this time increasing the duration of each by one second intervals. In Time Length 3, the addition of a length of film with neither visual nor sound follows each visual-sound alternation, with the lengths of all three increasing in one second intervals as in no. 2. Time Length 4 consists of one minute of the visual, and then the sound, followed by 46 seconds of silence as the film reaches 100 feet.’ (T.I.)
