(to be played with Tod Docksteader or any other percussive track)
Strobe effects, varying rhythms causing ‘blink rate confusion’ – forcing eye open – aims – to stay under ‘pain threshold’ (as strobe lights often do not) in order to get hypnotic effect, with minimum resistance.
Structure: Multi-rhythmic structure.
rhythm 1 – dot movement 1 frame to 2 frames
rhythm 2 – pos-neg reversal 2 frames to 4 frames
rhythm 3 – overall cycle of dot movement 4-20 frames
rhythm 4 – flashes-dark phases, etc.- (Overall rhythms) 4-50 frames
the strobe effect and colour induction in B&W is caused mainly by pos-neg reversals every 1-5 frames.
