Thoughts During 100ft of Film

The film print is the industrial length, as from the factory, then the lab. The film print is essentially black. There are few filmic textures. These will perhaps increase as the film is projected through wear and tear. Filmed on a single 100 foot roll of 16mm film negative in darkness.The realisation of any work relies on the contribution of the experience of the person engaging with it. The viewer’s contribution, their thoughts, their experience, for the duration of the work including its wider environment. This film offers the possibility of increasing the viewer’s contribution.For those wishing an initial thought during the film, you could consider it was filmed in several places and rooms over several days, and occasionally with the lens cap on. But feel free to go with you own thoughts. PT
