Thin Blue Lines

An animated film made in response to the Toxteth riots of Summer 1981. The film follows no specific narrative, but is a series of observations drawn directly from life.
The uneasy truce that developed in the weeks following the riots is illustrated by a juxtaposition of images of reconciliation with a soundtrack that reflects the unchanging hopelessness of a situation which perpetuates misunderstanding and mistrust.
