‘Observers – armed with binoculars and telescopes, well-known from thrillers of Hitchcock and DePalma; the empty gaze of ‘pretty women’; an unknown young man quotes from the history of optics. All these elements are juxtaposed and build layers. They are reflected in dark sunglasses, which serve as camouflage for the film-maker to take part in the affair. The resolution of the video image is cracked by the criminal recklessness of the film-maker who wants to enlarge the gaps between the pixels. The climax is thwarted by an unexpected nausea caused by the blind spot of the film-maker.’ – Sue Win
