Longshot plays a mercurial game between Lian, a young singing drifter and Denis, and over zealous video editor who electronically manipulates both Lian’s and the audience’s sense of reality. Shot in verite style, this “faux documentary” explores perspectives of illusion and truth, emphasized by an actual therapist’s ongoing analysis of the fictional characters.
“Longshot starts like Citizen Kane, ends like Breathless and is cyne mythology at its most real” – Chris Strayer
