High Stepping

High Stepping uses a ‘hot’ seductive image, but subsequent involvement is countered by an equally aggressive use of repetition/loop printing to de-eroticise (re-eroticise?) the image. Here we see the mechanical nature of the processing/printing equipment inscribed into the film at every level, making it in many ways a ‘Robert St. Classic’ . – D.Dusinberre & D.Curtis.
