‘Field of Women’ has been made as a contribution towards the expanding debate on female sexuality and to fuel discourses around identification, desire and fantasy. The film’s painterly impressionism fuses slow-motion with rigorous editing techniques, to produce a distinctive female creation which does not interpret women as ‘spectacle’ but investigates female authorship, evocation and representation.
