‘These short films, simple and sensuous as Haiku poems, are early works of this pioneer West Coast film-maker who was the co-founder with Bruce Baillie of Canyon Cinema in San Francisco and later, after her marriage with cartoon artist Neon Park, moved to Los Angeles to help form the film-makers’ Co-operative there. Although trained as an anthropologist and ethnographer (c.f.
