Artist and filmmaker Ana Vaz curates an evening of films expanding temporal and geographic relationships at the heart of her ongoing project The Voyage Out.
The project investigates the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear accident and the birth of a new land in Pacific south of Japan through a speculative fiction exploring the limits of the visible and the invisible, of life and non-life, of mutiny and mutation. The evening will make for a constellation of films including recent works by the artist as well as films by Lis Rhodes, Sandra Lahire, Barbara Hammer and Judith Noble. The screening takes place within the context of Beatrice Gibson‘s exhibition Crone Music.
