London-based artist Beverley Bennett is looking for 8 participants to take part in a project entitled Simon Says/Dadda as part of an ongoing research project working towards the production of a new artist film of the same name.
She is looking for women of colour to share stories with her about their family relationships with men and how living in a patriarchal society effects their day to day life.
As part of the workshops participants will cook, draw, read and listen to music together over a 4 week period within a relaxed friendly environment at LUX in Waterlow Park, Highgate. The workshops will culminate in an open sharing event at LUX. Workshops will commence on the 19th August – 17th September 2019.
If you are interested in getting involved please email [email protected] and with the subject heading ‘SS/D London’, participants will receive confirmation on 5th August. Limited places available.
