This workshop is an invitation to people from Black and non-white communities grappling with collaborative filmmaking to be in conversation with each other to explore the possibilities and practicalities of this approach. During the workshop, directing duo Arwa Aburawa and Turab Shah will share their collaborative filmmaking processes with a particular focus on their latest film ‘And still, it remains’ which will be screening at LUX during the festival. They will explore their own working relationship and how they develop relationships with the people in their films and in their wider community. This will then open a space for others to share/seek out advice and support whilst exploring the radical potential and challenges of collaborative work. B
