To open our upcoming BL CK B X exhibition with Nothern-Irish artist Seamus Harahan shiney wet stones, we will be hosting a musical performance with Irish Traveller Thomas McCarthy, 2pm-5pm.
“Thomas McCarthy will sing some old Irish songs. From Birr, County Offaly, he is an Irish Traveller from a long line of old traditional singers, musicians and storytellers. As such, he is custodian of the McCarthy family repertoire, tracing a parallel history and indigenous culture of Ireland, going back over 1,000 years.” -Seamus Harahan
