One on One: Wendy Clarke

A day dedicated to exploring the experimental video practice of artist Wendy Clarke through screenings and discussions. The event will examine Clarke’s collaborative filmmaking practice, live video streaming and community video. It will also consider her early collaborations with her mother, filmmaker Shirley Clarke and how these informed her later projects.

Wendy Clarke is an independent video artist who has conceived and produced numerous video projects that have been shown internationally on television, museums, galleries and public places. Clarke’s ongoing project The Love Tapes (over 30 edited series since 1977) have been broadcast on television across the US. Her videos have most recently been screened and exhibited at Anthology Film Archives, MoMA, NYC, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, CT, Harvard Film Archives, CT & Walker Arts Center, Minneapolis, MN.
