LUX is pleased to to invite you to the opening of our upcoming exhibition: ‘Well Settled’ which will showcase new works commissioned by the An Việt Archives as part of the British Council UK/Vietnam Season 2023.

The An Viet Archives is the largest known British-Vietnamese community archive in the UK. ‘Well Settled’ presents a series of works in different media reflecting on archives and proposing new models for how shared heritage can be activated and made accessible. The exhibition features newly commissioned works by artists from both the UK and Vietnam, including Nhà Sàn Collective, Moi Tran, George Clark and Lưu Chữ.

The opening will be taking place on Saturday 4 November at 2pm with a performance at 3.30pm. RSVP encouraged

On 18 November the broadcast commissions by Cường Minh Bá Phạm, Trà My Hickin, Stefan Khánh Nielsen, Thierry Phung, Nic Annette Miller and Koa Pham will be launched at our listening party. These works are a part of a larger project to develop new tools for accessing, activating and sharing the collection.

Commissioned by An Việt Archives, supported by the British Council as part of the UK/Vietnam Season 2023 and Hackney Archives, LUX and the University of Westminster.
