FormContent have spent the past year in residence at LUX in the context of their project The Subject Interrupted. Encounters Leave Traces which engages with the emergence and articulation of artistic subjectivity within various environments such as institutions like LUX. It does so by looking at drives, attitudes and routines, aspects that define the subject in its most intimate manifestations.

Dear Friends of Avant-Garde Cinema is a library display of documents from the artists’ files in the LUX archive and video works from the LUX collection. A text in the form of a letter published on the LUX website accompanies the display.

FormContent is a curatorial initiative founded in 2007 in London. It was established with the intent of experimenting with exhibition formats and fostering collaborations that challenge artistic and curatorial roles.
