Western American Impressions

This film attempts to approximate the experience of a Greyhound bus trip in the western United States.
“I freeze-framed my original 8mm footage into lengths that correspond to the heart’s bio-rhythm of seventy two beats per minute: 20 frames, as well as half and quarter times of 10 and five frames each. The soundtrack consists of radio broadcasts recorded on the trip, which occasionally provide comic counterpoint to the imagery.” – P.L.
