Observational footage of people in parks, running, having lunch, feeding ducks, reading, sunbathing etc to the sound of jazz saxophonist Lol Cockhill singing a 1930’s song called ‘Two Little Pigeons’.

Part two of the film contrasts this civilised ambiance with images of the half dynamited remains of Beckton Gas Works, (also the location for the S. Kubrick film, Full Metal Jacket). This sequence features a domestic scene amongst the rubble where two women have afternoon tea to music by Martin Denny, (homage to Jack Smith). V.D.
