The fading love affair between two women is explored through the reworking of two answering gazes as each woman turns to look as the other walks away. This fleeting, ill-timed glance captures the shifting moods and emotions, the sense of mutual loss and isolation, echoed by the words of the melancholy fairytale of the tin soldier and the ballerina and their damaged, tragically doomed love. The film uses 20 seconds of Super 8 footage, reworked through optical printing and video editing techniques.
