Using an oversized mop, the painter ironically smudges and stains nearly every surface she encounters, including her own clothing. Her movements and her studio uniform are economic and work-like, showing precision and pragmatism. Renée Levi paints two canvases lightning quick, revealing her process and her studio manner. We also see a drawing by the artist’s daughter that hangs on the studio wall, it is of a smiling little girl astride a horse that is taking a dump.
