Nude

Nude is an eleven minute sequence of photographic stills which invites the viewer to explore an exotic terrain: the body of a muscle man in Kuala Lumpur. As each fetishised detail materialises , we are placed in the uncomfortable position of tourists sizing up the beauty of a native specimen. Yet the foreign object meets the cameras questioning look with an erotic display at once swaggering and diffident. So perhaps after all we are witnessing a courtship where it remains uncertain who is the seducer and who the prey.
