Conceived as a performance piece, the film can be viewed as an element in a game to be played with an invisible partner who will attempt to mirror the filmed player – but encounter difficulties. When performed with an actual partner, the scale and speed on screen never allowed a fulfilling connection and happy outcome of a game enjoyed by a pair of players but became come and clown-like.And here this solo filmed self becomes dance like and rhythmic, concentrating on the transparent surface of the screen that separates the fiction ‘in there’ with the here and now.
