Driving The Loop borrows seven seconds of discarded home movie footage and re-examines it along with a musical soundtrack suitable for any car radio.
Two people out for a drive in their vintage sports car are captured on film by the whip-pan of a passing camera. By re-examination of these seconds of time through optical printing, speed changes, and frozen moments, DRIVING THE LOOP becomes an hypnotic journey that never leaves the road.
The music for the film, (originally devised at DAVID LEISTERs’ Kino Club) is provided by leading improvising musicians: Billy Jenkins – Guitar; Steve Noble – Drums; Roberto Bellatalla – Bass.
