A woman opens and swallows oysters and removes small stones from her body, washed there by the sea. ‘When an oyster is opened for examination it is also destroyed.’ (C. M. Yonge).
Oyster beds are revealed by the outgoing tide. Against this, an older woman puts together a tenor saxophone and prepares to play. She skilfully with total control.
Cold Jazz was awarded a Certificate of Merit at Chicago International Film Festival, 1993.
