In 2005 Richard Wank entered into a conversation with Évike and her entourage. Strangely enough, even Rigó, the blackbird who had already started a conversation with Richard, turned out to be one of her gang. The film unravels Richard’s altercation with the reality that he is confronted with.
This is an early documentary of Williams Gamaker (Williams) and enabled her to think through storytelling and what fiction might be in relation to life. Richard went onto become a longterm collaborator with Williams Gamaker (and in her collaborations with Mieke Bal), as well as a friend. He passed away in September 2016 and is dearly missed.
