January 17, 2013

As part of the 2012 LUX/ICA Biennial of Moving Images, students of the LUX/Central Saint-Martins MRes Art: Moving Image course co-produced a two-day student symposium for UK-based MA and PhD students to present their research into artists’ moving image. The two days explored ideas around ‘failure’ and ‘contemporary currents’. Documentation of the symposium is now available to view below.

Speakers included Jan Verwoert, Maeve Connolly, Anirban Gupta-Nigam, Robert Rapoport, Rosa Menkman, Emily Candela, Katy Connor, Christopher C de Selincourt, Rebecca Birch, Marialaura Ghidini, and Andy Weir. You’ll find more details on the speakers and their presentations at the over at the LUX/ICA Biennial site.

The inaugural LUX/ICA Biennial of Moving Images was a four-day celebration of contemporary artists’ moving image launched by LUX and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. The next LUX/ICA Biennial will take place in 2014. For updates and information on how to get involved in the next LUX/ICA Biennial, you can subscribe to the Biennial mailing list.
