Join us for an afternoon of rest and creativity, led by Dorothea Manolopoulos.
In Rest and Write, participants will explore their sleepiness, dreams and ideas in a supportive and creative environment. Through a guided sleep protocol inspired by Yoga Nidra—a practice designed to access the liminal space between sleep and waking—you will be encouraged to drift beneath the surface of conscious thought, where images and patterns can emerge.
This workshop related to Sulaïman Majali’s recent film ‘in the house of names’, shown in the same gallery last year, in which Dorothea’s voice guided listeners through a sleep protocol. Expanding on this, the workshop invites you to rest deeply and connect with the thoughts and images that arise in this relaxed state. Afterward, you’ll have time to reflect through writing, gather your ideas, and share them with the group. Together, we will dream, gather, and create art.
Rest and Write is open to anyone curious about the connection between rest, creativity, and writing.

Artist biography:
Dorothea Manolopoulos (she/her) is a trainee counsellor exploring the deep currents of rest to access creativity and play. She was drawn to dream work due to persistent burn out, and her practice grew deeper in the quiet of lockdown – where she developed Rest & Write. A trained Yoga Nidra teacher, she moves between words, breath, and body— to both access and process emotion. In March, she’ll be guiding a workshop on rest as a portal to creative renewal.
