A seminar for artists and curators looking at the implications of artists’ film and video in the archive.  It will explore the various historical contexts, conceptual concerns and practical issues facing moving image artists working with archives both in terms of the care and preservation of their work, and accessing archives for research.
Chaired by Benjamin Cook, Director, LUX with Mark Toscano, Film preservationist, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Los Angeles, Charlotte Procter, Collections Manager, LUX, and William Fowler Curator of Artists’ Moving image at the BFI National Archive, London.
Professional Practice is an ongoing series of workshops, seminars and courses looking at practical issues for artists’ working with the moving image.
