HERVISIONS is delighted to present Wo/anderland by MassHysteria, a boundary-defying performance responding to the theme of OUT of TOUCH.
Reimagining what it is to perform in a ‘post-touch’ world as described by Hervisions/LUX. Blurring the boundary of reality and the animated world through the gamification of performance, we question freedom, autonomy, agency, solitary empowerment and communication as the piece drifts between live and pre-recorded footage inviting participation from the audience.
The performance will be streamed on Twitch on 29 July at 7pm.
Creative directors of Wo/anderland are Lydia Walker and Jennie Boultbee of MassHysteria. Participating performers are Katie Serridge, Nina Richard, Rebecca Piersanti, Julia Kayser, Monika Blaszczak and Dominique Baker.

Formed in 2017, at Trinity Laban, Mass Hysteria is an all-female collective of dance artists located around the world. With shared backgrounds in visual arts, science, music, literature and philosophy, each member’s uniqueness is the basis for our shared collectivity. Curiously questioning and exploring digital and physical spaces, we have been developing a practice where we build a malleable, multidisciplinary environment where we react to the infinite, surrounding possibilities. https://masshysteria.co.uk
I am interested in visually feasting the eye. I studied both art and contemporary dance. I’m intrigued by the act of becoming something ‘other’, reimagining the way the body can be presented, the marrying of movement, art and design to create new feelings of ‚unusual’. I am currently living in my hometown London.
Following my BA at Trinity Laban I have currently left my hometown London to continue my Masters studies at the Folkwang University in Essen, Germany. I use walking and the everyday to inform my practice, exploring how the body is affected by space, place and daily activity.
I am originally from Winchester, England and studied Dance in London and Copenhagen. For me, art is an investigative exploration towards understanding and I believe movement offers discoveries unavailable through any other medium.
After studying dance in London, Pamplona and Brussels, I am currently based back in my hometown Bern. When improvising, I enjoy the possibility of seeing the world and its momentary composition as if for the first time.
I am an Italian mover, graduated from Trinity Laban London. My deep passion for dance, fashion and scenography have brought me to London, where I currently still live.
I am a dance artist originally from Madrid, Spain. After living in London for three years I have discovered my passion for Gaga. I am currently enrolled in the part time training program as a Gaga teacher in Tel Aviv, Israel.
I am an artist who makes work which blurs the lines between dance and performance art. My work aims at decolonizing bodies, movements and spaces. I have currently moved back to my hometown in Poland.
Originally from Bristol, I have spent the last months in Goa, India participating in a dance and movement research. I am interested in the mind, the body and using different mediums to grapple with the amazing mystery that is life.
