As part of our current BL CK B X exhibition All You Need’s An Excuse, please join us for a special screening of the 1983 community video Framed Youth: Revenge of the Teenage Perverts produced by the London Lesbian and Gay Youth Video Project. We will be joined by Philip Timmins, who initiated the video project with a group of Lesbian and Gay teenagers. The Lesbian and Gay Youth Video Project formed of about 25 young lesbians and gays made this video about themselves, it was subsequently shown on Channel 4.
The screening programme will also include documentation from a London Gay Liberation march in 1975, courtesy of London Screen Archives and RE/FRAMED Youth (2013), a video project by a group of LGBTQ youth who met over three days of collaborative filmmaking workshops.
The event is free and all are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
This project is supported by the BFI Film Audience Network as part of Changing Times: Shifting Ground.
