Led by Alice Lea & Anthony Gartland, this short introductory course offers an opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of the LUX collection, showcasing a selection of films and videos from its archive. LUX has a wide-ranging, international collection of over 7,000 works of artist moving image developed since the foundation of the London Film-Makers’ Co-operative in 1966.
Introduction to the LUX archive is an ongoing series that provides insight into the LUX collection through the eyes of curators, researchers & members of staff.

Alice is the Distribution Manager at LUX, London. She has curated the programmes You Are The Best, and The Discreet Body, which have been presented at LUX, The Tetley, Leeds, and Transmission Gallery, Glasgow.

Anthony Gartland is an artist and producer. He graduated from University of Brighton, before Co-Directing Catalyst Arts, Belfast. He is currently working as the ICO FEDS Distribution Trainee at LUX, London.
