Portrait of Ga, Margaret Tait, 1952.

Camden Arts Centre and LUX present a three-part screening programme which expands on Ben Rivers’ exhibition Earth Needs More Magicians and his artist-curated exhibition Edgelands.
The second part in the series takes the new film by Rivers as its starting point: What Means Something (2015), a portrait of the painter Rose Wylie in her studio and home in Kent. This screening considers the place of the portrait in film and interrogates the lines between author and subject; documentary and fiction; sound and image.
Curated by Ben Rivers with an introduction by Gareth Evans, Writer and Film Curator at Whitechapel Gallery
