LUX organises and presents talks, artists’ workshops and screenings for schools and higher education institutions on all aspects of artists’ moving image practice nationwide, we can also host small groups of up to 25 students at the LUX offices.
We invite teachers, course leaders and community organisations to plan a group visit to LUX. We can offer an introduction and guided tour of the exhibition, collection and library, tailored to meet your research needs and topics of interest.
Past sessions have included talks and screenings exploring the history of artists’ moving image in the UK with reference to the history of LUX’s predecessors (London Filmmakers Co-operative, London Video Arts and the Lux Centre), issues in contemporary moving image practice, career development for graduates, artists’ talks and artist-led workshops.
We encourage educators to incorporate the LUX Collection into your curriculum by offering access to our collection as well as curatorial consultations. You can find the LUX Collection catalogue here.
