Hanspeter Ammann

Born 1953 in Zurich, Switzerland.

He is a trained Freudian psychoanalyst and started in the late 1970’s to produce Video Art pieces which are in the collection of Museums like Kunsthaus Zurich, the Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Long Beach Museum of Art and others. Many of his pieces were also broadcast on European channels like SRF, ARTE, WDR etc.

He was running Shanghai Studio a gay night club in Shanghai China from 2005 – 2015 and is an external adviser for the International media program at King Mongkut University in Bangkok Thailand and he is a member of the advisory board of CIAC (Research Center for Arts and Communication) at the university of Algarve in Faro.
