‘LUX, the least funded & resourced of any cultural institutions [with collections of artists’ moving image work], is in reality responsible for the most significant & widely used collection of artists’ moving image in the UK.’
Paul Gerhardt, Archives for Creativity
‘an extraordinary archive of film & video art & LUX’s ongoing role in collecting, caring for & distributing moving image art is the essential core of the signature arts of the recent past & the near future.’
Sean Cubitt, Head of Media, Goldsmiths College
Every year we fundraise to support the care, development and provide access to the collection, to undertake support and development work with artists and support creative educational opportunities. LUX is currently developing a new public space in Waterlow Park, Highgate and is working towards becoming a accredited national museum. Your support would enable us to secure the future of the collection and make it more accessible to the public.
As a registered charity we welcome all donations, however large or small. You can even make a donation on behalf of a loved one.
For more information or to discuss how you can support LUX please contact Benjamin Cook, LUX Director firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 020 3141 2960.
Any donation, no matter how small or large, can qualify for tax relief under Gift Aid as long as the donor is a UK tax payer. For example: if you give LUX a donation of £400, we can reclaim an extra £100 from the Inland Revenue.
If you are a higher rate tax payer you can also benefit. For example: if you make a donation of £3,000, as a higher rate UK tax payer you could be entitled to claim up to £750 from the Inland Revenue. This means that your donation of £3,000 to LUX would cost you only £2,250.
