Portraits from the Occupation  is a project by Alex Abramovich and Lucy Raven, comprised of video interviews with 16 individuals involved with or impacted by Occupy Oakland. (The video above features Christopher Moreland of the Occupy Oakland Tactical Action Committee.) All of the interviews were recorded in March and April 2012. The project was conceived by the artists and commissioned by the Oakland Standard, to capture the complexity of the Occupy Oakland movement and to document a moment of social unrest that will have historical resonance in Oakland and beyond.

Since the interview with Moreland was filmed, he has been arrested and is currently being held on $10,000 bail (you can read more on the Occupy Oakland Media site).
