The publication examines the historical legacy and contemporary relevance of the video art project Infermental, the ‘first international magazine on videocassettes’ initiated by Hungarian Filmmaker Gábor Bódy in 1981. A Detour Around Infermental follows the Focal Point Gallery exhibition ‘Infermental’, which took place in 2010 and formed the first significant presentation of the project in a UK gallery.

A Detour Around Infermental is edited by George Clark, Dan Kidner and James Richards and is printed in an edition of 1,000.
