Vivienne Dick, Visibility Moderate (1981)

LUX has just released Between Truth and Fiction, The Films of Vivienne Dick, a DVD compilation published in conjunction with the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork, which is currently hosting an exhibition of Dick's works on video, 16mm and Super-8.

Vivienne Dick (b. 1950, Ireland), an internationally-celebrated film-maker and artist, was a key figure of the ‘No Wave’ movement in New York in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She has gone on to develop an extraordinary body of work, which has been shown in cinemas, films festivals and art galleries around the world. Watch some of her films and read more on her work in Luxonline.

The LUX DVD includes five films and is accompanied by a 100-page publication with newly commissioned essays on Dick's work. More information on the contents of the book and how to order a copy is available in the LUX Shop.
